In the Icelandic language, "lón" means lagoon. Fjallsárlón is only a short drive west of the famous Jökulsárlón but is fed by another outlet glacier and a glacier tongue. The lagoon is smaller but great for photographers as the source of the icebergs is closer and more visible. There are multiple photo angles of interest by the south shoreline of the lagoon. I always stop by Fjallsárlón when I take a photo tour to the southeast part of Iceland.
